Hello Families!
      Just a friendly reminder that on October 31 we will be having our annual fall pumpkin contest as well as brief parade where grades K-2 are able to dress up in the afternoon.  Please remember there are no masks, face paint or weapons allowed in school so if that is a part of your child's costume please leave it at home for later that night.  Also, your child's costume should come to school in a bag, and we will change in the afternoon... these should be able to be put on over clothes as we will not be changing in the bathrooms. Thank you for your attention to detail on this.
    Also, November 9th and 10th are both early release days and that is when we are scheduled to have parent/teacher conferences. If you have not sent back your form, please do so soon. Once I have received them all I will send confirmations of your time and day home.
    The week of November 20-24 is no school for any student.  We will welcome them back on November 27.  Please join us for All School Sing Tuesday mornings, it always is nice to see families in the audience.

     Our back to school night has been rescheduled for Thursday September 28th! The barbecue will begin at 5 pm outside of the school (please bring a dish to share) and the classroom presentations will be at 6:10 and 6:30. Hope to see you there!

Hello 2nd grade families!
     We are well into our second week of school and continue working on getting our routines down.  I just wanted to remind you of a couple important dates in September!
September 14 is School Picture day
September 21 is back to school night. I hope to see you all there.

As always, please make sure your child is reading every night and getting enough sleep to get them through the day! I look forward to seeing you all on the 21st!

Greetings Second Grade Families!
         I am getting excited for a new year at Academy School and working with all of you.  Just a reminder school starts on August 29. All students should go straight out to the playground with their backpacks, I will meet them out there for the first few days and we will walk in together as a class. Please do not send your children directly into the classroom as they can not be in there without an adult and I will be doing a head count outside and wait for all students to arrive.
Please join us for the Meet and Greet at 2pm on Monday August 28th.
I look forward to seeing you all and staring the 2017-2018 school year!
