Adventure awaits in 2nd grade!
Welcome to our classroom, we are so happy to be in school 5 days a week this year! We will continue to wear masks while indoors and practice safe, Covid procedures. I look forward to building a strong classroom community where everyone feels safe, heard and belongs. In second grade we will work hard, be flexible and resilient learners.
We will continue to learn and explore outdoors this year. Please remember to send your child to school each day with durable footwear, proper clothing (including layers ) and a change of clothes to spend lots of time outdoors!
We are lucky to have Chrome Books for all second graders! In order to get your child on a Chrome Book please send inn the permission sheet that was sent home. In class we will be working hard to teach the children how to log on, find websites and navigate online tools. They will be introduced to online platforms we will be using in school for academics. If we do need to send those home at any point we want to make sure it is a smooth transition.
Remember to join Remind! This is a great app that will allow us to stay in contact via email, phone or text (you choose!) However having Remind for quick messages and responses, or if we go fully remote and online again will be crucial. Let me know if you need help setting this up.
